We at Delhi Public School Vapi, believe that every child has immense potential with inherent talent.
Thus to encourage and motivate the students, learning-based specific subject-related activities were conducted in the month of July. These prepare them to take challenges heads up and think critically. Skill-based learning makes them proactive and prepared for their future endeavors.
The students from classes I to VI had fun participating in Math activities like Measurement with measuring tape, thread, etc. The teacher also elucidated the use of the Tangram Kit (animals, birds, shapes, numbers, alphabets), Fraction Kit and to make protractors for special angles
The finest way of observing the clock was displayed by making a clock using a paper plate. Drawing of the plan, elevation, and side view of simple objects were also a part of their math activities.
Knowing a language is not enough but willingness to learn more and apply it in daily life is more important. Students assimilate new concepts when they listen, read, speak or write. Many activities like Spell-Up Champ/ Speakathon, Role Play, poetry writing, etc, were designed to enhance their linguistic skills in English and Hindi languages respectively.
The study of Environmental Science ensures that the students benefit from the lessons discussed in the classrooms. EVS activities like arranging the pictures in proper sequence, learning the process of making honey, and designing a Family tree were well designed to satisfy curious minds. Students were taught to soak seeds and observe the growth of roots, they also observed the solubility of substances in water and understood why a substance floats or sinks in water.
These fun-based learning activities help to enhance the overall personality of the students.
