Monthly Activities

“Learning is an active process,

We learn more and more by practicing it.”

We at Delhi Public School Vapi, believe in igniting great curiosity in learning the subjects and making the students aware of the latest developments in the world. The students of classes III to VI were involved in numerous engaging activities to inculcate a sense of team spirit, and meticulousness in them.

Mathematics was interestingly taught through multiple lab activities like calculating the Area and Perimeter by easily accessible things – graph papers, leaves, thread, etc. Also, by learning to trace in addition to counting the boxes.

The finest way to study Science is by experimenting and practicing it. Our students acquired more knowledge of their authentic environment by getting involved in varied hands-on activities. Practical knowledge was imparted through self-created models of a letter box, houseboat, telephones and more. The process of germination was tested by the students’ practice in the classrooms.

The children showcased their acquaintance and consciousness of the language in Hindi and English, by debating, discussing verbs, researching work on birds, equipment tools and multiple creative writing pieces. It gave them a chance to explore their new abilities and learn new things.

The students tried identifying the genres of the books by reading them. They also displayed a significant message ‘Say No to Bullying’ by Role Play. Multiple LSRW activities were designed to enhance their linguistic skills which explicitly will help our students in improving and learning the language within their subject area.

Understanding the oldest uninscribed coins called the Punch Marked coins were beautifully created by the students. This gave them a clear understanding of its value in the sixth century.  Social Science was also made simpler through some more presentations as part of Flip Classrooms.

The enthusiasm and engrossment of the students played a vital role in efficaciously conducting these activities in the cheerful month of December.
