A Day of Outdoor Learning at Damodar Farms

“The best classroom and the richest cupboard is roofed only by the sky.”

As part of the Outdoor Learning Week observed by the Pre-Primary Section, the Nursery classes visited Damodar Farms on March 5, 2026. Nestled amidst nature, the farm offered the young learners a refreshing opportunity to explore, observe, and learn beyond the classroom walls.

The children were delighted to see an abundance of cows reared for dairy at the farm. They enthusiastically fed the cows and learned about their daily routine and the care they require. This hands-on experience helped them understand the importance of animals in our lives and the effort that goes into dairy farming.

The visit also allowed the children to enjoy playful activities in the open surroundings while observing birds that shared the same natural habitat. They explored areas with organic plantations and learned how plants grow in a natural environment.

Another unique highlight of the visit was seeing idols of different gods placed together under one arena, reflecting harmony and togetherness. The vast open space of the farm gave the children the freedom to explore, play, and learn joyfully in the lap of nature.

The excursion to Damodar Farms was a delightful blend of fun, curiosity, and experiential learning, making Outdoor Learning Week a memorable and enriching experience for the little explorers.
