“A coconut gives us more than a fruit—it gives us nourishment, tradition, and a lesson in giving.”

The Pre-Primary classes celebrated Coconut Day with great enthusiasm, exploring the fascinating world of this versatile and life-giving fruit. Children learnt that the coconut holds a special place in our traditions and is considered a pious fruit, often used in rituals and auspicious occasions.

Through an engaging hands-on exploration, the little learners discovered the different parts of a coconut—the husk, shell, flesh and water—and understood the importance and utility of each part. They also learnt how almost every part of the coconut can be put to meaningful use.

Adding a creative touch to their learning, the children crafted beautiful handmade articles using coconut and coconut-based materials, turning their classroom experience into a joyful celebration of creativity and discovery.

It was a delightful day where the children learnt that, just like the coconut, nature gives generously when we learn to value and use its gifts wisely.
