Gandhi Jayanti

:" You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

                                                                                                                    - Mahatma Gandhi

Our father of the nation, MAHATMA GANDHI, not only helped our country achieve freedom but also taught us many important life lessons. He was an inspirational leader who fought against injustice and prejudice. There is so much one can learn from his life.

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and to instill his teachings and principles in our students, DPS Vapi organized a special assembly on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. This blissful day had commenced with a prayer song, thought for the day, it further continued with a few amazing facts and some news updates.

Non-violence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man. These famous lines of Gandhiji were demonstrated through a Musical Skit that displayed the factual struggle of our freedom fighters.

The delightful day was made more beautiful and memorable with an action song that was performed by the choir of DPS with great fervor and elegance.

A special On Air- Radio Talk Show – was also planned for the day. The show added fun to the assembly, where the invited Professor answered all the questions in Gandhiji’s style. The Radio Talk Show depicted that true happiness is what you think, what you say, and what you do in harmony”.

Our small army of patriots from classes I to VI  honoured Gandhiji's contribution towards the independence of our beloved nation in their own yet different ways.

This assembly was a perfect occasion to remind our students of his invaluable teachings and to take his legacy forward. The day was a complete amalgamation of patriotism and satisfaction. The celebration concluded with our National Anthem.
