On 10th June 2026, Delhi Public School Vapi hosted SANSKRITI 2026, a vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage. This year’s theme, ‘The Language of Mudras and Musical Swaranjali’, highlighted the beauty and significance of Mudras as a powerful medium of expression in Indian classical dance and music.
India’s classical dance traditions are a treasure trove of artistic expression, preserving centuries of culture, spirituality, and storytelling. Among these, Bharatanatyam stands out as a graceful dance form that communicates emotions and narratives through intricate movements, facial expressions, and symbolic hand gestures known as Mudras.
The event featured captivating performances by the Department of Dance and Music. Through elegant choreography and expressive gestures, it was showcased how Mudras convey emotions, depict nature, narrate stories, and symbolize divine elements. Accompanied by melodious musical renditions, the performances transported the audience into the enchanting world of Bharatanatyam.
The celebration aimed to deepen students’ appreciation for India’s classical arts while fostering creativity, discipline, and cultural awareness.
