Brainy Quest – 2023-24 Quiz Competition Primary Classes III to VII

Delhi Public School organized an Inter House Quiz competition – ‘The Brainy Quest’. The young Mathematicians and Language experts from classes III to VII participated in this competition on Monday, 5th February 2024.
Four teams participated in it, each team comprising four students. The teams were Aquila, Cygnus, Pavo, and Tucana. The Quiz consisted of four rounds. The first round was the MENTAL MATH ROUND, then followed by the SPELLATHON ROUND where each team was asked to identify spellings & words with the help of given clues. Next was the VISUAL ROUND, and the final round was the SHARP-WITTED ROUND which had a mixed bag of questions in Maths and English.
It challenged the participants to show their understanding of the basic principles of Mathematics and English through problem-solving and critical thinking, as well as encouraging their interest and confidence in both subjects. It was also an excellent skill-building opportunity for them while also learning a vital life lesson of teamwork.
The participants responded with astounding self-confidence. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing and exciting. They created an unthinkable situation for the jury, by three teams scoring the same number of points. The tie breaker round turned out to be the path breaking moment of the day. The audience also got a chance to participate every time the teams answered erroneously. Team Aquila bagged the highest number of points and attained the first position.
The quiz was very enlightening and knowledge-enriching for the participants as well as for the audience. The students exhibited ecstatic spirits and enjoyed the Brainy Quest to the fullest.
