"Safe and Sound: Little Steps towards Big Safety"
World Safety Day was celebrated with great eagerness by the curious and energetic learners of the Pre-Primary section. The little ones stepped into a day full of discovery, as they learned all about the importance of staying safe—at home, on the road, and in school. Through lively demonstrations and thoughtfully designed activities, children were introduced to the idea that keeping oneself safe is a shared responsibility—and most importantly, their own! From a fun-filled safety quiz that sparked quick thinking, to role plays on road safety where tiny traffic guards took charge, every moment was a playful learning experience. A live demonstration in the school parking area, complete with colourful placards, brought school bus safety to life in the most engaging way.
For Classes I and II, the School Counselling Department conducted a thoughtful and interactive session on Body Safety. Using the friendly character Pantasaurus, children were introduced to the ‘PANTS’ rule in an age-appropriate and reassuring manner. They also participated in the Safe Circle web activity, learned how to respond to strangers, and understood the importance of respecting and protecting their own bodies.
These sessions were not just informative, but also empowering, helping young minds build confidence and awareness in a safe and supportive environment, leaving the children more aware, more confident, and ready to take small but meaningful steps towards their own safety.
