National Science Day Celebration

Every day is a discovery, and every discovery a new day, from atoms to astronomy, science touches us all!

The pre-primary section celebrated National Science Day to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect, a phenomenon in spectroscopy, by the Indian Physicist Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. It also aimed to propagate the importance of science and its application in our daily lives.

The curious learners were in awe while they observed and participated in various science experiments and thought it was some magic tricks displayed until teachers explained to them the science behind each of the experiments conducted. The students zestfully designed and presented various Science projects, models, and charts based on Inquiry and Science. Students exhibited their learning of concepts, through projects that included model making, or through participating in live experiments on varied topics like human body systems, walking water experiment, shadows, rainwater harvesting, air has weight and exerts pressure, volcanic eruptions, water cycle, life cycle of a butterfly and frog and solar systems and many more.

The enthuse DIPSITES visited the School Science Lab where they identified specimens of animals and plants and were introduced to various equipment.

The week was a huge success with great learning. Not to forget to mention the hard work and dedication put in by the children and mentors in experimenting and explaining the concepts. Kudos to the learning and relearning experience!
